Trailblazer Engine
Chevy offers buyers two turbocharged three-cylinder engine types in the Trailblazer, a 1.2-liter and a 1.3-liter. The 1.2-liter features 137 horsepower and the 1.3-liter 155 horses.
The 1.2-liter engine comes with:
- Front-wheel drive
- Equipped with variable automatic transmission
The 1.3-liter offers:
- Optional all-wheel drive
- All-wheel drive system replaces the standard CVT with a nine-speed automatic
According to the EPA, the 1.3-liter all-wheel drive features an impressive mileage of 29 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. EPA recommendations suggest the 2023 models of the Trailblazer will get 29 mpg city and 31 highway.
Trailblazer Trims
Chevrolet is building the 2023 Trailblazer in four model options. These models include:
- LS
- LT
- ACTIV
- RS
The LS is the base model, which is available with either the 1.2 or 1.3-liter engine option.
The enhanced LT model comes with silver-painted front and rear fascias and roof rails. This model offers advanced features, including LED fog lamps, deep-tinted rear windows, and liftgate glass.
If you want an SUV made for the off-road experience, then the ACTIV model is the right fit for you. ACTIV comes with Ecotec 1.3-liter turbocharged engine and special shocks, and sport terrain tires.
The RS was made for the sport-loving SUV driver. It features a Camaro-like front grill. It also offers high-gloss black machined aluminum wheels.
Trailblazer Specifications
While the Trailblazer might be sporty on the outside, it’s more simple yet spacious on the inside, comfortably seating four adults.
Trailblazer features Chevy’s new infotainment system, which allows two-Bluetooth devices to be connected simultaneously. It also includes:

- Optional 8.0-inch unit
