Exploring the Wilderness with a 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer

45% of global car sales are attributed to SUVs. The SUV market is hot and continues to lure more car buyers to that segment of vehicles.

When considering an SUV, there are a plethora of choices in a wide range of sizes. Not every SUV buyer wants a supersized vehicle.

Some SUV buyers want a compact vehicle that offers the benefits of an SUV without the bulk of a huge vehicle. Enter the 2023 Chevrolet Trailblazer and its many lauded features.

If you’re in the market for a new SUV, the 2023 Chevy Trailblazer might be the perfect fit for you. Read on to learn more about the new Trailblazer and its features that make it ideal for your wilderness adventures.

Trailblazer Personality

The current Trailblazer model dates back to 2020 when Chevrolet rereleased the subcompact SUV. This sporty subcompact came into the market with a bang of personality and features.

The exterior is built with personality in mind as if it already knows it’s a vehicle meant for the open road.

Whether you’re driving in the city, open road, or doing some wilderness exploring, the SUV can handle it. It comes with three drive modes, including:

  • Normal
  • Available All-Wheel Drive (Snow on FWD)
  • Available Sport

Trailblazer is a subcompact SUV meant for any kind of driving.

Trailblazer Engine

Chevy offers buyers two turbocharged three-cylinder engine types in the Trailblazer, a 1.2-liter and a 1.3-liter. The 1.2-liter features 137 horsepower and the 1.3-liter 155 horses.

The 1.2-liter engine comes with:

  • Front-wheel drive
  • Equipped with variable automatic transmission

The 1.3-liter offers:

  • Optional all-wheel drive
  • All-wheel drive system replaces the standard CVT with a  nine-speed automatic

According to the EPA, the 1.3-liter all-wheel drive features an impressive mileage of 29 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. EPA recommendations suggest the 2023 models of the Trailblazer will get 29 mpg city and 31 highway.

Trailblazer Trims

Chevrolet is building the 2023 Trailblazer in four model options. These models include:

  • LS
  • LT
  • RS

The LS is the base model, which is available with either the 1.2 or 1.3-liter engine option.

The enhanced LT model comes with silver-painted front and rear fascias and roof rails. This model offers advanced features, including LED fog lamps, deep-tinted rear windows, and liftgate glass.

If you want an SUV made for the off-road experience, then the ACTIV model is the right fit for you. ACTIV comes with Ecotec 1.3-liter turbocharged engine and special shocks, and sport terrain tires.

The RS was made for the sport-loving SUV driver. It features a Camaro-like front grill. It also offers high-gloss black machined aluminum wheels.

Trailblazer Specifications

While the Trailblazer might be sporty on the outside, it’s more simple yet spacious on the inside, comfortably seating four adults.

Trailblazer features Chevy’s new infotainment system, which allows two-Bluetooth devices to be connected simultaneously. It also includes:

  •  7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Optional 8.0-inch unit
  • Available Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration
  • A standard four-speaker stereo
  • Six-speaker setup or a premium Bose stereo with seven speakers as an upgrade

The Trailblazer comes with a set of basic driver-assistance technology and makes more advanced tech, such as adaptive cruise control, an added option on the higher trim levels.
