It’s available in four trims: the S, SE, SE R-Line Black, and SEL R-Line each with many standard options and additional features like rear USB ports, panoramic sunroof, and power folding side mirrors. 

The sleek-looking infotainment system comes standard with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a Wi-Fi hotspot is also standard.

On the S, SE, and SE R-Line Black trim front-wheel drive comes standard. The SEL R-Line trim comes with standard all-wheel drive.

Volkswagen Tiguan Performance

The Volkswagen Tiguan engine specs include a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission that puts out 184 horsepower and 221lb. of torque. 

The SUV’s automatic transmission runs smoothly and it’s a great car for city driving, day-to-day errands, and your daily commute. It gets 21-23 mpg in the city and 28-30 mpg on the highway.

Volkswagen Tiguan Interior

The Tiguan’s interior had some very significant changes in the new interior. The leather-wrapped steering wheel has touch-sensitive controls. The heated seats are a great feature in cold climates and the digital gauge display is standard. Aside from the base S model, all trims have touch-sensitive climate control panels, lane-keeping assist, a semi-autonomous driving mode called Travel Assist, and adaptive cruise control.

The other safety features include blind-spot monitoring and warning system, rear traffic alert, active lane control, emergency braking, and emergency assist. 

The interior space is roomy for transporting your family or other adults, with adequate legroom in the first and second rows. There’s also over 73 cubic feet of cargo space when you fold down the rear seats.
