The Chevrolet Tahoe is in its fifth generation – and is the most advanced version yet. Its dashboard is now mostly comprised of new touchscreen interfaces and has six trim levels available for customers.
When climbing into the cabin of the Tahoe, you can expect to be greeted with premium SUV luxury finishes. The range also has the Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel engine and meaty V8.
But is a luxury SUV a good idea for a family SUV?
The short answer is yes. Chevrolet has ensured that the Tahoe is the perfect SUV for the family. Here’s why:
Safety Is a Priority
A significant problem in the past with family cross-country trips is managing children in the backseat. With the Tahoe range, you can fit the Super Cruise Driver Assistance, which is compatible with 200,000 miles across the U.S. and Canada.
This means you can turn around from time to time to sort out issues. Or any backseat driver issues with ease.
It also comes with a forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking.
In total, there are six advanced safety and driver assistance features.
Loads of Space
The Chevrolet Tahoe has 7-8 seats. Third-row seats offer ample legroom, even for adults.
While a third-row seating arrangement will mean less storage space, the Tahoe can tow a large trailer.
The Chevrolet Tahoe is fitted with an in-vehicle app with a unique rear trailer function. It allows the driver to see through the trailer when reversing.
It will also monitor the profile of the trailer, pre-departure checklists, and trailer tire pressure and monitoring.
If you aren’t using the third-row seats, you can use the SUV’s 52 cubic feet of space. And if you’re planning on moving something in the vehicle, there are 95 cubic feet with the seats folded flat.
All-in-all, if you can easily transport the entire family and some friends while bringing along all their luggage.
Ride and Interior Comfort
It is fitted with first-in-class suspension and is also fitted to Z71 and High Country. The four-corner air ride adaptive suspension can be adjusted to suit the terrain.
And with this adjustable ride height, the passengers are guaranteed to get a better ride.
The interior is exceptionally comfortable, with supple leather seats and climate control in the back seats (three climate zones in total). Also, as mentioned, there is ample legroom throughout the vehicle.
Entertainment Throughout
As you’d expect, with a vehicle like the Tahoe, you can use Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. While not an entertainment factor, starting the vehicle remotely is always fun.
The climate control panels in the back seats are also equipped with multiple charging port options.
Chevrolet’s engineers include a 12.6-inch diagonal LCD color touch screen, bringing a natural theater feel to the cabin. And if you spring for the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, it comes with Google built-in and a Wi-Fi connection.
There is so much more on offer with the Tahoe, but where should you look for this additional information?
